Galeotti Piume’s firm, thoroughly artisan, has never left its production headquarters amidst the rolling hills of the Apennines in almost fifty years. It figures not only as excellent and innovative, but also as extremely rare.

Because the raw material is rare: the feather, “one of the softest, warmest and most luxurious fibres in nature”, as Guia Galeotti says.

Thanks to a highly delicate process that removes the stiff part of the feather, the Galeottis have managed to provide an extremely soft material. Work, passion, intuition and, of course, innovation: “the small number of firms that produce ornamental feathers forced us to develop techniques and solutions to production by re-adapting machinery born for other purposes, or very often inventing systems and complex machines”, says Guido.

“Our creations are born out of total respect for nature, which is often our source of inspiration”

The business policy of the Galeottis is founded on a constant commitment to craftsmanship inspired by technology that respects genuine qualities: “we have always tried to discourage the requests – at times bizarre – that come to us from style headquarters, which are often unaware that they are asking for feathers from protected species” says Guia. “Our creations are born out of total respect for nature, which is often our source of inspiration”.
