Until 3 July, the Sala della Balla at the Castello Sforzesco is hosting the exhibition "Milano Vetro", a display of 47 entries selected from 100 international participants in a competition by the name of "–35 MilanoVetro". The competition organised by Castello Sforzesco in collaboration with the collector Sandro Pezzoli invited artists and designers under 35 to submit an artistic work made of glass. This was the event's first edition, and the organisers plan to make it a biennial happening from now on.

During the exhibition's inaugural evening on 14 May in the presence of Milan's culture councillor Filippo Del Corno, the winners of four distinct awards were proclaimed: one acquisition award called "Aldo Bellini", two innovation awards called "Enrico Bersellini" and one inspirational award consisting in a two-week artist's residency.

The aim of "–35 MilanoVetro" is the promotion of contemporary glass, either artistic or design, in order to encourage and sustain young people's involvement in artisanal glass making.
