London's Academy of Chocolate gathers every year an international jury consisting of experts (25 jury members each day) that taste and compare the best chocolates in the world for 5 days, to select the best one.

In 2013 the “Oscar” for the Best Dark Chocolate Bean-To-Bar has been bestowed to the dark chocolate “Blanco de Criollo” by Amedei, the Maison from Pontedera guided by Ceclia Tessieri. On sale from December 2012, and presented in Milan in cooperation with the Cologni Foundation, the bar consists in dark chocolate 70%, with a blend of rare Peruvian cocoa.

The recipe was born from the collaboration between Amedei's maîtres chocolatiers and the farmers of the cocoa fields of Piura, in northwestern Peru.
