The Dama d'Argento Award for 2013 has been assigned to Luca Calegari, of the eponymous restauration laboratory. This annual prize, promoted by the “Amici del Museo Poldi Pezzoli” Association, is dedicated to those artisans and associations that express and defend, through their activities, the Milanese cultural identity and heritage.
The prize was conceived to reward the operators active in sectors related to the museum's collections: laces and textiles, glass and porcelain, clocks and jewelery, old books, furniture and interior decorations.

The jury, composed by Franco Cologni, Ferruccio de Bortoli, Giangiacomo Schiavi, Aldo Citterio, Marisa Rivolta, Mario Cera, Andrea Rittatore Vonwiller and Arnaldo Pomodoro, has assigned the prestigious honour to the Calegari Restauration Laboratory represented by Luca Calegari, member of the third generation of craftsmen specialized in ceramic restoration and active in one of the few atelier left in the central district of Brera.
