Creative Academy, the international school of design founded by the Richemont Group in Milan, developed a new project for the 55th Salone del Mobile in collaboration with the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d’Art, FAI-Fondo Ambiente Italiano and the support of Van Cleef & Arpels.

Guided by Alberto Nespoli and Domenico Rocca of Eligo, the 20 international students of the school used evocative and delicate materials such as natural sponge, soap and waffle fabrics to create a collection inspired by the theme of wellness.

The project focused on a capsule collection enhancing the textures, fragrances, colours and expressive potential of the chosen materials. At the same time, the students designed the packaging, the exhibition staging and the visual communication of the project.

The prototypes were made by three artisan workshops of excellence. The exhibition was set in the awesome location of the “Albergo Diurno”, a symbol of Milanese wellbeing, attributed to architect Piero Portaluppi. The City of Milan recently entrusted the site to the FAI-Fondo Ambiente Italiano and to Delegazione FAI Milano.
