Between January and February all 27 apprenticeships of the project “A School, a Job. Training to Excellence”, the program promoted and financed by the Cologni Foundation and implemented thanks to the generous partners of the project, like the Cariplo Foundation and the Costa Crociere Foundation. The promising selected talents, after the "Mini Master" held in Milan(during which they were hosted for a month by Starhotels, which supports the initiative), are now starting their professional journey together with the master craftspeople who will train them for the next 6 months.

Apprenticeships, this year, will take place in 12 Italian regions: Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Apulia, Sardinia, Sicily and Veneto. The young apprentices will each specialize in a different sector: restoration of books, paintings, fabrics and musical instruments, goldsmithing, violin making, haute cuisine and the art of baking, artistic glass, special effects for cinema, costumes and make-up for the show business, tailoring, pebble mosaic, puppet art and nativity scene art, leather goods, ceramics, Murano glass, footwear, bookbinding, traditional weaving.

The Cologni Foundation will present in May, on the unascuolaunlavoro.it website, the portraits and stories of the apprentices, future heirs of these arts.
