“Italy made to measure” showcases 100 selected ateliers representing the very best of Italian craftsmanship in an innovative bilingual guide and web portal.

This innovative Italian-English shopping guide was developed by Gruppo Editoriale in collaboration with the Cologni Foundation and OmA (the Italian observatory of artistic crafts), and the precious support of Vacheron Constantin. “Italy made to measure” showcases the best Italian workshops and laboratories specialising in crafts that range from ceramics to jewellery and fabrics, from silver to tailoring and accessories, from musical instruments to nativity scenes, from glass to mosaic and wrought iron.

Dario Garofalo’s photographs immortalise the faces, hands and tools of the master artisans, revealing the great traditions that are handed down from generation to generation. The aim of this initiative is to enhance and promote the knowhow, skill and talent that generate unique and personalised creations, the symbol of Italy’s fine workmanship.

A tribute to Italy's artisanal excellence, this bilingual guide follows the success of two earlier projects dedicated to Florence and Milan.

The guide comes in an easy-to-read format and can be consulted online through the portal
