Following the great success of its first edition in 2009, World Crafts Council-Europe organizes, in collaboration with other institutions, the European Prize for Applied Arts, from 14th July through 9th September, 2012.
The European Prize for Applied Arts, hosted in Belgium at the Grande Halle des Anciens Abattoirs, in Mons, will display in an exhibition the works by 86 creatives and makers, and will reward the best works in the field of contemporary applied arts and design-led crafts.

During the first edition of the Prize, in 2009, Graziano Visintin (Italy) was awarded with the Masters Prize, while Rosa Nogués Freixas (Spain) received the Young Talent Prize.
