November 13th 2013– February 9th 2014
Triennale of Milan
The exhibition brings together 700 works, most of wich from the extraordinary archive curated by Barnaba Fornasetti, who carries on his father's tradition.
Fornasetti was painter, printer, designer, collector, fashion creator, refined artisan and decorator. Endowed with a rich and complex personality, he designed and produced approximately 13,000 objects and designs.
The exhibition is divided into sections that retrace his history, from his early paintings, in the spirit of the turn of century, to his printing workshop for artists' books, to the close partnership with Gio Ponti in the 1950s and 60s, up to 1988, the year of his death.
