After the success of “Il Vetro degli Architetti: Vienna 1930-1937” hosted in 2016 at the Stanze del Vetro premises of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, the exhibition moves to MAK-Austrian Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna.

The exhibition, curated by Franz Rainald, investigates for the first time the influence that the young architects from Viennese Sezession, with their designs, had on the development of the art glass in Vienna, in the first three decades of the 20th century.

Based on over 300 works from the collection of the MAK, as well as from private collections, it presents the birth of the art of modern glassmaking in Austria from the last decades of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy to the end of the First Republic.
