"Lace in Gorizia" :: Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte

On May 15th the award ceremony of the 2nd International Contest “Lace in Gorizia”, organized by La Scuola dei Corsi Merletti di Gorizia will take place.
The competitors were asked to realize an original design work, made with the technique of lace around the theme of “the fan”. All the works of the competitors have been gathered in the spaces of the Biblioteca Statale Isontina, in an exhibition that will be open till June 9th.

“Una Scuola, un Lavoro”: young apprentices at work!

All the apprentices of "Una Scuola, un Lavoro. Percorsi di Eccellenza” – the historic Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte training internship project now in its 13th edition – are now at work! All over Italy, the photographer Peter Elovich, through his original shots, is collecting visual testimonies of the young protagonists at work, eager to "steal with their eyes and hands" the craft from their mentors and masters in this six-month apprenticeship.
