Samsung launches Maestros Academy: a digital academy that connects the craftsmen with young people from all over Italy through Samsung devices.
The project has been conceived to enhance Italian craftsmanship, giving a voice to the excellence of Made in Italy, and to encourage the transmission of know-how to the new generations. The maestros selected, including the shirtmaker Siniscalchi and the embroiderer Pino Grasso, using tablets, smartphones and monitors have the opportunity to show students the secrets of their know-how through lectures and interactive chat.

“Una Scuola, un Lavoro”: young apprentices at work!

All the apprentices of "Una Scuola, un Lavoro. Percorsi di Eccellenza” – the historic Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte training internship project now in its 13th edition – are now at work! All over Italy, the photographer Peter Elovich, through his original shots, is collecting visual testimonies of the young protagonists at work, eager to "steal with their eyes and hands" the craft from their mentors and masters in this six-month apprenticeship.
