On the occasion of the 6th edition of the Wood festival, the initiative “Botteghe aperte” is back in Cantù. From 29 September to 14 October, the territory will be alive with activities, exhibitions and entertainment thanks to the event celebrating the excellence of the wood and furnishing production chain.

The initiative aims at connecting the public with places where excellence is created, and let them discover the secrets of ancient traditional crafts. Visitors will be able to enjoy paths and tours through the “savoir-faire historical areas”, also enjoying itineraries leading to the diverse kinds of production typical of the city and culture of Cantù's know-how.

Important brands like Riva 1920, Pipa Castello, Rosean, Tessile Officina, Fonderia artistica Esposito and many other representatives of high-end craftsmanship will open their doors to visitors. Over three weekends, experiential pathways, stopping at various companies and accessible through pedestrian paths or with a Municipality-run free minibus will be available.

Visitors will have the opportunity to witness the wood processing path, from raw materials to the final design and furnishing products. More activities are enlivening the event through workshops, talks, tours, and laboratories. Three weekends under the banner of Italian excellence.
